Inclusion Criteria  (Any one criteria present)
  • Urgent/emergent situations where venous access cannot be achieved quickly or reliably
Exclusion Criteria
  • Osteogenesis imperfecta or osteopetrosis
  • Patients with right-to-left intracardiac shunts (risk of fat/bone-marrow emboli)
